Since August, the cast at Coast Community Productions has been working hard rehearsing for its initial offering, “The Man with the Plastic Sandwich,” an entertaining comedy by Roger Karshner.

“After being fired from a job of 20 years, Walter Price ponders his future on a park bench, where he meets three wacky characters:  Ellie, a free-spirited individual representing hope; Haley, a distinguished hobo representing wisdom; and Lenore, a goal-oriented hooker representing reality.”

Daniel and Simone Tyrrell, founders of Coast Community Productions, hope this play will be the first of many for the new group, which aims to treat local audiences to entertaining and thought-provoking productions, develop emerging talent and support local charities. The show will be staged first at Pebbles Restaurant as a co-production with Peninsula Players, then at the Heritage Playhouse.  Part of the proceeds from the Heritage shows will help support the Elves Telethon, a charity event that raises money for Christmas hampers for those in need.
