The category winners will receive a canvas print of their winning photographs, courtesy of London Drugs Photo Lab in Gibsons.
[divider]Finalists and winning photos will be published in a photo spread in the first issue of ZOOM for 2014.
Winners must be able to provide high resolution versions of the photos submitted. By high resolution, we mean an uncompressed TIFF or high quality JPG or JPEG at 300 dpi (dots per inch) with a minimum width of 10 inches. This high quality format is necessary for publication in ZOOM. Failure to provide a high resolution image may compromise your win.
If you are using a digital camera and not sure whether it’s set to take high resolution images, check your camera’s user manual and look for “image size”. Make sure that your camera is set to take photos with at least a minimum of 1600 pixels on the longest side. Some digital cameras would have this at a setting of 1600 x 1200 pixels, which results into an image file size of 2MB.
